It was an ordinary day
I am wearing my ordinary clothes
Doing my ordinary routine,
Walking on that ordinary road,
Heading to that ordinary café.
I pushed that ordinary mirror door with an ordinary sign
Saying “We’re Open”. So,
I ordered my favorite ordinary coffee
Mocha-Latte to that ordinary cashier on that ordinary counter.
And as I approached my ordinary usual seat,
I saw you.
A girl with a face and a smile unlike any I have seen
Then my heart tripled its beat, yes,
Three times than its ordinary pump
And I knew I caught a glimpse of extraordinary
When I caught a glimpse of you.
So, I thought, that from that moment
My ordinary days would be over.
And suddenly, there it goes,
You started to create that not-so ordinary “Oh”
With your looks-so-soft-perfect-curved-lips.
As the guy in front of you started to kneel on that ordinary floor
You smiled at him,
As he said those magic words
You kissed him, right across that ordinary table
And there I was, watching, smiling
Piece by piece I’m breaking.
And it’s kind of funny how that first extra-ordinary moment
Shattered not just my ordinary life, but also my ordinary heart.
