Jerome Cleofas, PhD is a live concoction of many life roles: professor, researcher, nurse, sociologist, songwriter, fiction writer and performance poet; all these juices are mixed and wrapped in a tall, feeble, moreno queer body.
His pieces are affective renditions of intersected stories. Each song or poem he writes is a condensed research study with social scientific underpinnings meant for creative dissemination. For him, every performance is an opportunity to educate, while attempting to elicit insightful “hahas” and meaningful “huhus.”
Aside from his early successes in academia, his merits include winning in songwriting competitions and poetry slams. He has performed in Performatura 2017 and has been invited in various spoken word events. Jerome has also been featured in TV shows such as the Sharon Cuneta show, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Sojo and Reel Time.
